About Treatment

The Needles

Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very fine, single use, sterile needles into specific points of the body in order to allow Qi/natural energy to flow around the body.  Each point in the body has a specific purpose and by choosing a combination of points in the body to needle, the practitioner can effectively remove any Qi/energy blockages in the body.  The combination of points chosen will be specific to the individual patient.

Many people are anxious about the use of needles during treatment.  The needles used during acupuncture are very fine and not like the type you will have experienced when having a blood test for example.  The majority of people find the treatment very relaxing and leave the treatment room feeling calm.
